The Jewish Theological Seminary
It is uniquely appropriate that this year’s Masorti Olami honorees have studied at seven schools located in three different countries, and have served as professional and lay leaders in Jewish communities located in four different states from the Atlantic to the Pacific. All three have contributed greatly to the mission of Masorti Olami - The World Council of Conservative Synagogues, which is to build, renew, and strengthen Jewish life around the world. As leaders of today, they have transmitted Judaism in a way that is authentic to our tradition while also committed to living fully in the modern world, strengthened Diaspora ties to Israel and to Zionism, and devoted their careers to creating communities of “passionate Masorti Jews” from which will come the leaders of tomorrow.
