About 50 years ago, a dreamy idea, like a seed, began to blow around Morris County, New Jersey. The idea was to build a Hebrew Academy. The seed travelled from Morristown to Lake Hiawatha and then to Succasunna and Boonton before taking root as the Bohrer Kaufman Hebrew Academy in Randolph. After four decades of growth the seedling has become a veritable tree of knowledge as the Gottesman RTW Academy with the academic and financial strength to guarantee the survival of the institution. Like a tree, its seeds will surely spread. As a result, we are not only honoring Paula & Jerry Gottesman and Kim Hirsh for their exceptional contributions, but also the hundreds of volunteers, parents, faculty and students who have all contributed their time and treasure over the past half century.
