Dear Fran,

To be a nursery school teacher is the most fulfilling and rewarding job.

However, to have that job while working side by side with someone as seasoned and caring

as you, is the hidden reward we were never expecting to receive.

Fran, for years we have worked under you and you served as our mentor and leader.

During our training, we watched you work everyday in complete awe of your passion

for the job, the children and your community. Regardless of what life brings on any given day,

you regularly impress us with your poise, your patience and most of all, your genuine caring

for the people around you. You are truly an inspiration to your students who see you

as a tremendous source of comfort and stability and to the staff who is fortunate to call you one of their own. You are an unwavering example of generosity and chesed. You have taught us many things including the importance of patience, the value in letting someone know they were heard and validating a child's feelings, and most importantly, you have taught us the power of words. Every single afternoon, as we part, at the end of a day's work, you always take the time to thank your assistant for her hard work. The power of those 2 little words,

"thank you", and the fact that you never forget to say them, is stronger and more fortifying

than you can ever know.

 

We are so grateful to know you, thankful to be guided by you, and look forward to sharing

in many more milestones and accomplishments in the future.
