Honoree
Carol Scharff is a backbone of our community. Having served as Temple president, vice president, sisterhood president, and as a member of our youth and school boards, Carol has encouraged the flourishing of our congregation through her timeless devotion. Nowadays she continues to support our congregation by welcoming us all to services and special events, arranging our Onegs, reading with our nursery schoolers, and attending Chevra, in addition to her many board and committee meetings.
Carol recently celebrated her sixty fifth wedding anniversary with her beloved husband Matthew. Carol's greatest joy is their loving family of three children, their spouses, and four grandchildren, who are the blessings of Carol’s life.
Carol thinks of Larchmont Temple as her fourth child, feeling so thankful to be part of a community where everyone is accepted and where the clergy is truly outstanding. Her dedication is reflected in our very building, as she spearheaded the renovation and expansion of our Temple, while through the years infusing our congregation with the warmth and connection that draws us all together.
