Wayne White
Executive Vice President at the American Cancer Society, Inc.
 
Wayne White is the Executive Vice President of the American Cancer Society’s North Central Region, which serves communities in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
 
As Executive Vice President, Wayne is the region’s senior-most executive, driving the development and implementation of the Society’s mission and revenue strategies across all seven states.  He engages corporate and medical leaders, high level donors, and leadership volunteers in furthering the fight against cancer.   Under his leadership, the Region serves thousands of cancer patients and caregivers, engages volunteers to support community-based programs, inspires and equips companies to provide healthy workplaces, and raises more than $80 million annually to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
 
Wayne joined the organization in 2017 and brings 30 years of Sales, Marketing, and General Management experience to the American Cancer Society. He has held executive roles managing as much as $3 billion in revenue with companies such Alcatel, Motorola, Kobo, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and General Electric.
 
Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA in Marketing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.  He is a former Board Member of Gleaner’s Food Bank, Haven Domestic Violence, and The National Kidney Foundation of SE Michigan.  He has also served as a big brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister program of Chicago and a Junior Achievement Mentor.  A past recipient of Crain’s Detroit 40 Under 40 Award, Wayne resides in the great city of Chicago.
