OUR MISSION
Since 1939, Jewish Vocational Service has helped tens of thousands of individuals and families who are experiencing challenges become productive members of the MetroWest community by giving them the tools and training necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency and, in turn, make valued and valuable contributions to society.
Guided by our Jewish history and values, our mission is founded on the teaching that helping people help themselves is the highest form of tzedakah, or social justice—and, our vision of creating a world where everyone is empowered to fulfill their own potential, regardless of the challenges they may be experiencing, compels us to reach out to “the others” among us, those whom society often ignores.
