Susan J. Schwartz is a partner in the law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP, where she specializes in complex commercial litigation. She is the former chair of the New York office’s litigation department, and was a partner at Friedman, Wang & Bleiberg, P.C. prior to that firm’s affiliation with Foley. Sue received her J.D. from the Harvard Law School and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania (magna cum laude, with honors in English and American literature). 

She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. 

 

Sue is also a graduate of the Core Curriculum program, and an ongoing participant in the graduate program, of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.

 

A strong believer in the power of Jewish education, Sue joined the Schechter Manhattan Board of Trustees in 2009, and served on the board until June of 2019.
